Meet the Achillea Youth Board of Directors!

Our team is based in the North/Central Jersey regional chapter, where Achillea Peer Tutoring is currently headquartered. However, each regional chapter has its own Board of Directors, and applications are always open for all our chapters. We are always seeking new skill sets and ideas to create diversified teams and to have underclassmen assume leadership roles when current leaders join our Collegiate Oversight Board.

Aadit Shrivastava

Hi! I'm Aadit Shrivastava, a senior from Millburn, NJ and President of Achillea. I have been a volunteer since 2022, working as a Tutor, Administrative Intern, Administrative Assistant, and Youth Advisory Board & Youth Outreach Board member. Most importantly, Achillea showed me the power of youth leadership and advocacy to give back to the local communities that shape who we are.

Kayra Aran

Hi! I’m Kayra Aran, a senior from Far Hills, NJ and Vice President of Achillea. I have been a part of Achillea since 2023, working as a Tutor, Outreach Coordinator, and Youth Advisory Board member. I believe students from all backgrounds should be equipped with the resources to succeed academically and beyond. Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

Emily Lim

Hi! I’m Emily Lim, a junior from Chatham, NJ. I work on developing trauma-informed care training resources for all our volunteers and coordinating Achillea's academic tutoring programming. I joined Achillea to give young students the opportunity to shape their own learning and pursue the academic interests they possess, while ensuring holistic success in the education system.

Leah Gershgorin

Hi! I’m Leah Gershgorin, a junior from Livingston, New Jersey. I focus on growing Achillea's platform and reach to enable advocacy initiatives, expand partnerships, and enlist more youth leaders I chose to join Achillea because education has always been a priority for me, and I am lucky to have access to incredible resources. It is essential for every child’s education to be supported with empathy and strong mentorship.

Jada Clark

Hi! I’m Jada Clark, a Junior from South Orange, NJ. My whole life, I have been involved in the performing arts, from ballet to musical theatre to violin. I joined Achillea because I believe education goes beyond academics, and should offer creative outlets and passions for students beyond the classroom. Achillea has enabled me to engage my performing arts community with a meaningful cause.

Yuxi Zhang

Hi! I’m Yuxi, a junior from Cranford, NJ. My role at Achillea focused on introducing and expanding the Regional Chapters program, from the Bay Area in California to the greater NYC area. I am a part of Achillea Peer Tutoring because I believe everyone should have access to face-to-face support that helps them grow academically and feel confident in their learning.

Eva Merchant

Hi! I’m Eva Merchant, a junior from Short Hills, NJ. I started as Outreach Coordinator and loved the entrepreneurial experience of constantly reaching out and introducing Achillea's mission to people across child welfare agencies, schools, and community centers. I joined Achillea to support its mission of providing underserved youth with peer-led tutoring built on care and encouragement.

Sanjukta Srinivasan

Hi! My name is Sanjukta Srinivasan, a junior from Montclair, NJ. I joined Achillea as an Outreach Coordinator, and loved working with local organizations to involve other high schoolers like me in advocating for underserved youth in my own local community. I am a part of Achillea Peer Tutoring because I believe that everyone deserves an education, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Eloise Jackson

Hello! I’m Eloise Jackson, a senior at Hunter College High School in New York City. I first joined Achillea in 2023 as a Youth Board member and fundraising intern, inspired by its mission to expand access to education and mentorship for foster youth and underserved students. As an immigrant, I’ve seen how supportive learning communities can change lives, and I’m excited to help Achillea grow through expanded fundraising and outreach.
